Sarah and Tyler recently moved from the East Coast to Salt Lake City, Utah, and when I told them I was planning to fly into Salt Lake City soon, it immediately sparked their interest! First of all, I absolutely love capturing engagement sessions in significant places. Engagement is such a (relatively) short and unique season leading up to the start of your marriage. After the wedding, you will be married for years and years to come. Preserving the few years or so of dating and engagement that you have experienced together is one of the most beautiful things about engagement films (and why I include them in all my collections)!
With this being said, we knew we wanted to capture Sarah & Tyler’s love out west! One of their main goals of moving to Utah was traveling all through the National Parks and gorgeous sites to see on their new side of the country. Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming were high on their list, so… we went for it!!
Meeting up with Sarah and Tyler in Wyoming was such a special experience. Their adventurous spirits and loving hearts for one another were just so evident and easy to capture! I loved filming a few moments of them in the car between locations to commemorate the incredible road trips they have recently been on near their new home, and enjoying a champagne picnic with the most beautiful backdrop of the mountains. We practiced their dancing & dip/kiss for the ceremony, we ran around on a quiet road, we sweated quite a bit… but they were such troopers and we had a blast.
Another special touch I loved was that I brought them flowers without even knowing that Tyler brings Sarah flowers every single week and this was significant to their relationship! It was a complete coincidence — or, to put it differently– completely meant to be! They also brought me amazing coffee beans from Utah and the kindest card. My heart was so full.
This session left me so incredibly excited to capture their Fall 2025 wedding and is one I will always remember!
